I am a Doctor of Education (Teaching and Learning), with a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education, a B.Ed - I am a BC AND Ontario Certified Teacher with specialization in Developmental Disabilities, and a B.A. in Psychology.
In my private practice I help parents deal with both everyday and unusual parenting and family issues. I am also a member of OACCPP - Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists AND BCACC - British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
I specialize in problem behaviour with all children – especially those with learning, behavioural and developmental challenges (including ASD). I work with families in their homes, on Skype, and also consult in schools. I am a Counsellor/Consultant who uses proven applied behaviour analysis and cognitive behaviour therapy techniques.
I also conduct intensive family intervention sessions. Contact me for more information.
Additionally, I work with individuals eating disorders, for life coaching, and for personal management.
I also provide staff development training and assist organizations with leadership development and change management.
I am formerly a board member of the Sun Peaks Education Society.
I have 30 years of counselling, consulting and teaching experience in both college and university. I am now in private practice in the Sun Peaks/Kamloops area. This forum is intended to inform parents and families and I welcome all questions. This forum is not meant to provide therapy.
